New McCartney single next week?

This message is withdrawn, read more here

According to the French Wikipedia page about Paul McCartney a new single will be released next Monday, August 28th. The single is called A Life of Mercy. The site also reveals  the name of Paul’s new album: In The Universe And Beyond. Wikipedia also mentions a collaboration on the new album with Australian singer-songwriter Sia and the American musician Beck.

The news about the forthcoming single has been written by an experienced Wikipedia editor, who has contributed to the site for nine years. But there is no source entry in this case, as is usually normal. Later a text was added that the single is a duet with former Wings partner Denny Laine. That part, however, has been written by someone who has never done anything for Wikipedia before. Also, Laine and McCartney would not have had contact with each other for years, so a duet is very unlikely.

In February this year McCartney announced he was working on a new album which is expected to be released this fall. Untill now, no details were revealed yet, except that the album contains a song about president Trump.

Earlier this week McCartney posted a video on social media which could contain a message about Macca’s forthcoming album. The video contains of seven video fragments, originating from mainly videoclips, an interview and the movie Give My Regards To Broad Street. Every day has its own bit. And if you listen to the last three days of the week, you will be hearing the message “this one is …(music)… to hear” You can watch this video on McCartney's account on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.
